High-Capacity Vessel Supply Infrastructure
KMSB provides fuel bunkering, fresh water and brine supply directly to vessels at Terminal 2 within the Port of Broome. Designed to support efficient vessel turnarounds, the facility enables fuel and bulk liquids to be delivered alongside while vessels remain at berth, reducing additional vessel movements and mininising downtime.
Supported by approved terminal infrastructure and 24/7 operational capability, KMSB delivers marine gas oil (MGO) at flow rates of up to 3,300 litres per minute, alongside fresh water supply rates of 100,000 litres per hour and brine supply rates of 75,000 litres per hour.
Fuel Access and Supply Arrangements
Fuel supplied through the KMSB facility is arranged via approved fuel providers and their authorised agents.
Clients with an existing corporate fuel account should contact their fuel provider or authorised agent to arrange fuel supply and billing prior to bunkering. Once confirmed, fuel can be delivered through the KMSB facility, with all fuel charges applied directly to the client’s nominated fuel account.
KMSB facilitates access to fuel infrastructure but does not sell fuel directly or administer fuel accounts on behalf of fuel providers.
Note: Wharf bowsers are available to personnel who hold a valid bowser induction. Please contact Broome Bunkering to arrange induction and access.
Fuel Flow Capacity
KMSB has a certified bunkering flow rate of up to 3,300 litres per minute (198 cubic metres per hour), making it one of the highest-capacity marine diesel bunkering systems in Australia. A dedicated self-service bowser is also available for smaller vessels, delivering fuel at rates of up to 400 litres per minute.
Actual bunkering rates and transfer times may vary depending on vessel connection size, hose configuration, vessel receiving capacity, operating pressures, pre-transfer checks, ramp-up and ramp-down requirements, and other operational considerations.

Approved Fuel Suppliers
The following fuel suppliers are approved to operate at Kimberley Marine Support Base. Operators must liaise directly with their chosen provider to arrange fuel delivery in accordance with port requirements and ensure all necessary permits and inductions are in place.
Permit to Work
All bunkering operations at KMSB must be scheduled and approved under the Port’s Permit to Work system. No fuel transfers are permitted without prior authorisation. For further information or to coordinate bunkering operations, please contact your chosen fuel provider and the KMSB operations team.
